Help Care for Karol
Donation protected
On January 14 2021, early in the morning, Karol Mora was just leaving her home in Ridgefield CT when another driver hit her car head on. Karol had been on her way to work out at the gym. She was hit at high speed, she suffered severe injuries including a brain bleed, a punctured lung, ten broken ribs, a broken wrist, she fractured both ankles and suffered a spinal/pelvic fracture. She was cut from her car and was taken to Danbury Hospital. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was transferred to Yale New Haven Hospital later that same day.
Karol had to undergo three separate surgeries that required the implantation of surgical hardware as well as having a spinal fusion.
She has since been transferred to Gaylord Rehabilitation Center in Wallingford CT where she is expected to be an inpatient for the next 30 days. Karol has a very long road ahead of her.
There are so many unknowns for Karol's future right now, and all of them come with significant expenses. It would appear that the other driver did not have insurance which further complicates matters for Karol financially. All of her medical bills, which will be quite significant, that are paid on her behalf, will need to be repaid by her.
For those of you that do not know, Karol is a single mother and sole supporter of herself and her daughter. She has never asked anyone for any type of help and prides herself on being independent and self-supporting. She is an extremely hard worker with a very strong work ethic. She sets high standards for herself and works hard to live up to them. She will put all of her energy into getting better and any help gained from donations will serve to ease her financial worries.
We are kick-starting this fund, in order to cover her many significant expenses.
Many of you have already asked how you can help. This is one way. Please consider donating to this fundraising effort. Any donation is much appreciated. We would also ask you to pray for Karol’s full and speedy recovery.
Thank you so much,
Karol's Friends & Family.
