Help Cariloha Sarasota Recover from Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Supporters,
Our beloved Cariloha Sarasota store has suffered severe damage
from Hurricane Helene. The estimated 7-foot storm surge that hit Lido Key and Saint Armands Circle caused 2.5 feet of Gulf saltwater to enter our store. Despite our best efforts to prepare, including sandbagging and elevating items, the storm's intensity was overwhelming. Unfortunately, we lost about two-thirds of our inventory, all large floor fixtures, electronic equipment, and most of our supplies.
While the building is insured, we’ve learned that the contents of the store—including our inventory and fixtures—are not covered under our insurance policy. Additionally, our Business Interruption insurance will not pay out due to this. With Cariloha Sarasota being our sole source of income as we establish other business ventures, this has created a critical situation for us.
We are working hard to clean up the damage and replace what was lost, but we need your help to make it possible. We hope to reopen by the end of October, but this timeline depends on securing the funds to purchase new fixtures, restock inventory, and replenish our supplies. We are also hoping to be able to help our employees financially during the time we are closed.
That’s why we’re turning to you, our valued customers and community, for support. Any contribution, big or small, will help us get back on our feet and back to serving you as soon as possible. If you can't donate, please consider sharing our story to help us spread the word.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity during this challenging time. With your support, we believe Cariloha Sarasota can come back stronger than ever.
With gratitude,
Jeff and Robin Snell, owners
