Hello and thank you for taking time to look at my fundraiser. I am starting this fundraiser in order for me to attend the JetBlue Gateway Select pilot program. I am halfway through the process and need to start obtaining the finances needed in order to attend. The total cost of the program will amount to at least $100,000. Flying planes has been a dream since I was in 5th grade, I even have a picture inside of a Boeing 747 cockpit to show for it. This little kid dream slowly started turning into a reality once I started talking to pilots in the industry and going to conventions. I ended up attending Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach right after high school and majored in Aeronautical Science to pursue piloting. I have never failed a PA(performance assessment, pretty much skill tests throughout training) and got up to 63 hours of flight time towards my PPL (private pilot license). Although I excelled at flying at Embry Riddle, I could not continue my education there due to financial issues. This occurred during peak Covid, when it effected everyone. My dream started to slowly fade. Ultimately I had to drop out of Embry Riddle and took a short break to recover mentally. The mental toll was the worst part about this situation. My drive to fly never went away, but it was just out of my reach. After a few months I decided to do something with my life and not let this get me down. I am currently attending Daytona State College for cybersecurity, which was my backup plan. Once I heard that the pilot programs for the airlines started opening their applications, I jumped on it. Once I replied, I heard back the next day with a congratulations and they wanted me to move on to the next steps. That brings me to now. I humbly ask you to donate, even simple change, to my cause. I do not know when or if I’ll get this opportunity again. Thank you.
