Help Carla Zamarripa get her Cancer treatments

Hi, my name is Agustin, and I am fundraising for my little sister Carla.

Some of you may or may not know her so maybe I will start by telling you a bit about her. My sister has been a hardworking nurse for about 13 years. She has worked in both the city of Laredo and in San Antonio Texas. She worked through the covid pandemic and until recently was unemployed as someone else beat her out for the position that she had applied for prior to the covid pandemic taking place. During her period of unemployment, she felt sick and as a nurse went to the doctors which lead to the eventual diagnosis of cancer. Being in between jobs she is currently uninsured and having to front the medical bills which even with discounts from her wonderful doctors still seem to be adding up quickly.

Carla is going to be needing chemo, radiation, and eventually surgery to help her get through her diagnosis. She will be getting a second biopsy this week and at the same time getting a port for her chemo treatment and radiation treatments which would start in January. We have been told that chemo would be every other week once she starts it but radiation, when it happens, will be Monday through Friday. Currently, the plan for surgery would take place after going through chemo and radiation.

My little sister means the world to me and my family and it’s hard to not be able to do more to help her in her time of need so here I am turning to my friends and the internet for help.

We have looked into insurances for my sister, but they won’t be able to take her till January of 2022 so any help you may give will be to help her with her medical expenses or other needs as she won’t be able to work during this time.
