Help Carlette Rebuild After Hurricane Beryl

Hello friends, family, and extra special people who don't know me but want to donate! To my friends and family, I hope you are all doing well and I miss you so very much. I have a HUGE ask of you all. For those of you who do not know, my name is Mikaela Aros and I am currently studying to be a veterinarian at Ross University in the Caribbean. During my time here I have gotten to make many lifelong friends, including a very special woman named Carlette. Carlette is one of the housekeepers working on campus and one of the most amazing people I have yet to meet. Her kindness and generosity go behind most and she came into my life when I was most in need of a little light. She's become a sort of island aunt to me and I am forever grateful to have met her.

Now onto the needing help part. As I'm sure you've heard Hurricane Beryl just hit parts of the Caribbean in the past weeks. The island where I am currently residing was safe from any destruction. However, Jamaica, the island Carlette is from and where most of her family currently lives faced massive damage. The roof of their home was completely taken by the storm and their belongings inside were severely damaged. In an attempt to give back to a woman and her family who have gone so above and beyond to help me, a stranger, I am asking for your help (as I am a painfully poor vet student)! All proceeds will go to Carlette and her family to rebuild their home and replace their belongings. She is unaware that I am trying to raise funds for her and her family and I would like to surprise her with a little piece of hope. Any amount helps and would be greatly appreciated!
