Help Carlos and Lupe Recover from the Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Family and Friends,
On January 8th, 2025, Carlos and Lupe Macias were on high alert as they monitored the Eaton Fires. They walked outside and saw that they were not in the danger zone as of yet. They went to bed, and just a few hours later, they were woken up by smoke filling their room. They rushed out of the home with only the clothes on their backs. As they drove down the street, they could not see the road in front of them. But even in that moment, they were trying to help others. They drove down the street honking in an attempt to warn their neighbors.
As of today, they have not been able to return to their home. They watched their home on the news and the firefighters working hard to save their home. Everything they own, including all of their belongings, memories, mementos of passed family members, have been destroyed by the excessive fire damage. As of today, they have been notified that the structure of their home was saved thanks to the efforts of the courages firefighters. However, the fire infiltrated the home destroying all of their belongings that will need to be replaced.
If you know Carlos and Lupe, they would give you the shirt off their backs. There are many examples of them dropping everything to rush to the aid of others. They met us young kids in Pasadena/Altadena and Pasadena/Altadena holds a special place in their hearts. If you can, please consider donating to help them through this difficult time. They have been displaced from their home in Altadena, California and need all the support they can get in order to navigate what lies ahead for them. Any contributions will go directly towards providing essential needs.
