Help Me Attend the National Youth Leadership Forum: Medicine Program This Summer!
My name is Carlos and I'm 17 years old. I am excited that I was selected to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Medicine Program at UCLA this summer! This program will help me explore medical studies and possible career paths in healthcare and medicine through hands-on experience and insights from healthcare professionals.
I'll be able to visit and practice in the same training simulation centers that medical students, residents, and physicians use to hone their skills. I'll also be able to learn medical procedures using the latest technology and watch a real-life surgical procedure with a physician talking through steps and answering questions.
I've selected the University of California, Los Angeles Campus (UCLA) to attend the program.
My goal is to raise the money myself to attend this program, with my Mom's guidance. I want to try to do it on my own. The program tuition is $3,694 and that includes earning 2 college-credits, 2-3 meals per day, housing, program materials, and local transportation while on campus.
