Hola!!!

I’m Carlos Moreira, the owner and head chef of Pucquio in Oakland. You probably know me from visiting our restaurant, listening to music, or simply because I love you!! For the past 11 years, we’ve had the privilege of bringing the flavors and culture of my home country, Peru, to the Rockridge, Oakland community. Over these years, we’ve been able to share classic Peruvian meals that I grew up with to modern cebiche dishes with local bay area fish. Pucquio has always been more than just a restaurant to us, it’s a gathering place for friends and family to relax, listen to music, and enjoy life!!!

We’re humbly requesting help from our community. We battled through the impact of COVID-19 without government assistance, and successfully kept the restaurant afloat. But Pucquio is now faced with new challenges due to the rising cost of food, operating expenses, and rent. If Pucquio has ever been a place where you’ve shared a meal, celebrated a moment, or simply felt at home, we're asking for your help to keep that spirit alive. Every donation will go directly toward helping us secure a new long term lease so we can continue serving the community we care so much about.
