Help Caro safely move out

Hi! My name is Caro, and I am a queer Latinx person based in Chicago. I am 26 and currently live with my abusive parents because I live paycheck to paycheck and do not make enough from my full time job to afford moving out and living in my own space.

Unfortunately, I cannot continue to live with my parents as the toll it is taking on my mental health has become too overwhelming, and I am concerned for my own safety.

So, I’m (secretly) moving out of their home, and I need some financial support to pay for a storage space for my belongings and some new bills that I will have to pay, such as car insurance. I am moving in with my partner for the time being, but he already has 2 other roommates, so my belongings will need a space of their own for now; my paychecks go directly to my student loans and my car loan, and I’m left over with ~$200 to pay my phone bill, credit card, and more.

I hate asking for help, but I know I will be struggling for a long while until I can get a new job that pays more, so that’s why I’m here. Thank you for reading all this and for whatever ways you choose to support me - even sharing means a lot to me.
