Help Carol Santos fight Breast Cancer

Dear friends and kind-hearted strangers,

I am reaching out to you today to ask for your support for a dear friend, Carol, who has recently been diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. Carol is a sweet and friendly young woman who moved from Campo Grande, MS, Brazil to Canada in 2018. She is married to Rogerio, and together they have a beautiful little daughter, Maya, who is turning two years old this month.

Carol is an incredibly hardworking and talented Permanent Makeup Artist (PMU) who has spent the last six years making people feel good about themselves through her self-employed business. Unfortunately, the young family has faced significant hardships recently. Last year, Rogerio suffered a heart attack and was unable to work for several months. Thankfully, he is now on medication and has returned to his job, but the financial strain has been immense.

Now, Carol is facing the biggest challenge of her life. Her treatment for this aggressive type of cancer will take around a year to complete. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy, which is just the beginning of her long journey. In the coming months, she will need to undergo two types of chemotherapy, followed by surgery to remove the tumor. Depending on the outcome, she may also need radiotherapy.

Due to the severity of her condition, Carol is unable to work as much as she used to, making it incredibly challenging to support her family and raise her sweet little girl during these tough economic times. This is where we need your help.
