Help Carolina Native Nursery Rebuild and Regrow
Donation protected
Carolina Native Nursery, owned by Bill Jones, in Burnsville, NC, was devastatingly impacted by the flooding from Hurricane Helene losing 90% of their plants and a significant portion of their infrastructure.
Many of you have offered support in the form of volunteering and donations. Thank you.
Right now, Bill, Shelby, the staff, even their families, are hard at work, assessing the damage, doing what they can to clear the debris, and making a plan to move forward.
There WILL be a volunteer day coming soon. We will keep you posted on that. Unfortunately, it is not safe for people to come into the area and the nursery has not been able to gather the supplies they need to make extra hands useful….yet.
Right now, what the nursery needs, until insurance claims are completed, is FUNDS to get supplies and keep their staff on the ground, working and rebuilding....and regrowing.
You know the impact this business has made in the WNC community and beyond. We must help them regrow so that they can help the landscapers and the small garden centers they support regrow.
Please donate what you can so that they have the resources they need to get to the next step.
And, please continue to follow along for updates here and on social media.
We thank you for the love and support that you have shown thus far.
Together, let’s #ReGROWWNC!
This campaign was developed by Murphy Funkhouser, Marketing Manager and friend of Carolina Native Nursery. Murphy lives in Mars Hill, NC, just up the road from the nursery. All funds will go directly to Bill Jones, founder of Carolina Native Nursery, to acquire supplies, generators, pay workers and to re-establish irrigation so they can get back up and growing!
