Help My Mom Prove Her Innocence

Hello I set up this fundraiser to help my mother fight to prove her innocence.

My family and I have been devastated by legal and financial issues as we've attempted to navigate the immigration system in this country. For over ten years, my mother has worked high-labor jobs and lived paycheck-to-paycheck to pay for her legal fees in an attempt to resolve her immigration status. All this while providing for her three children.

Recently, our family has encountered more financial and legal hardships.

In 2019 my mother was the passenger in a car that got pulled over. Unbeknownst to her, this car was associated with criminal activity in the state of Arizona. The main culprit admitted their wrongdoing and her innocence to judges and officers. Regardless, my mother served three months in a detention center in Eloy, Arizona for being undocumented, following the initial situation.

After her release, she kept up with her immigration process and even had a court date coming up after the multiple pushbacks. She attempted to follow up with the initial case but was told she had no charges and was not informed any further about any legal proceeding for the initial investigation. No mail, emails, or phone calls regarding the situation, nothing.

This past weekend, while on her way to come to visit me for my birthday, she was arrested and wrongfully charged with Fugitive of Justice and other charges she had no involvement in.

My family is in desperate need of financial assistance to help pay for my mother's legal expenses. She has already put over $15,000 into immigration lawyers to help resolve her status. Now, we have been told that the estimated cost for legal assistance regarding this case is around $17,000. These new legal expenses make it nearly impossible for our family to afford legal assistance on top of monthly bills.

I ask that you please help us fight this case so we can prove my mothers innocence. The entirety of your donations will be used to pay legal fees for the lawyers fighting these challenges, as well as the out-of-pocket costs like court fees, printing, travel, expert witness fees, legal research costs, etc. Anything helps.
