Help Carolyn Fight Cancer for the Third Time

Hi, My name is Nan Prausa, and I started this fundraiser for my best friend, Carolyn Murray. Though I started the fundraiser, Carolyn has 100% control over all funds raised by this gofundme. Thanks to the donations she was able to cover all out of pocket expenses in 2022. That all starts over on January 1. Her out of pocket max is $7000 per year. We have a little less than half of that covered for 2023 already. I’d love to get the rest covered so she can focus on healing and her sweet family. Every little bit helps…truly! Here’s a bit of background on Carolyn’s journey. Carolyn is battling cancer for the THIRD time. She had breast cancer and overcame it. She had colon cancer and overcame it. Now she is facing metastatic disease in her spine. As many of you know, breast cancer has a way of finding its way to other parts. This part of her journey began when her back pain increasingly made life difficult. She assumed it was from the stress of lifting her son, Daniel, who has profound special needs. As a single mom and his primary caregiver, she lifts Daniel often. When her back continued to hurt despite massages, taking it easy, icing, etc., she went in for imaging and received the news. There were cancer Mets in her spine, and they were causing fractures. Carolyn will have to undergo back surgery to stabilize the situation and then cancer treatments as well. She's a fighter. No doubt. Her spirit is strong, and she has much to live for. She's the mom of two amazing children. Melody and Daniel. She has a community of people who love and adore her sweet, gentle spirit and quick wit. Please rally around her. Taking the worry of the financial burden off her plate is HUGE. She has insurance from the marketplace, but it's not great, and there will be many expenses as the surgery and treatments stack up. Every little bit will help. Please share as well...
