Help Carrie Fight Covid

Everyone who has met Carrie has been touched by her positive outlook, her creativity, her love for her son, and her passion for life. Carrie was diagnosed with Covid over a year ago. Despite being young and healthy, she has experienced long Covid. She caught Covid a second time and has been in and out of the hospital battling against it. Her lungs are permanently damaged and her body is constantly in a hyperactive immune state, attacking her own body. The second infection impacted Carrie's adrenal and circulatory system and is now unable to absorb the nutrients it needs to fight against the ongoing damage to her organs. She is going to physical therapy to learn to breathe with her limited lung capacity and going to countless doctors visits in between hospital stays.

Long Covid has left Carrie unable to teach for over a year. She is paying her medical insurance out of pocket at $1,000 a month. This financial burden is weighing on Carrie on top of her many health concerns. To try to help support Carrie and allow her to concentrate on healing her body, we hope to raise some money to help reduce this financial burden.
