Help Carrie Fight Ovarian Cancer

Hi friends and family, I am starting a fundraiser on behalf of my best friend, Carrie Herrington. Carrie was diagnosed with Stage 3, possibly 4, ovarian cancer a few months ago and has already started her chemotherapy treatments at the Emily Couric Cancer Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.

With her ongoing care, chemo, surgery, transportation and all the other expenses that go along with a cancer diagnosis, the bills start rolling in and the costs become astronomical for basically anyone. In fact, her first round of Chemo alone cost 63,000 dollars!

Carrie and I have been friends for over 23 years, first working as registered nurses together in Neuro trauma ICU. She has cared for many people over the years as a nurse and now as a Nurse Practitioner. She continues to work, despite her own pain from cancer symptoms some days. She delivers great care and gives a smile through it all, possibly cracking a joke here and there to lift a patient's or co-workers spirit. That is her super power and why I love her so dearly. She makes life better for people in this world. She is one of the funniest people I know and is a bright light in dark times. She needs our support now and hopefully your kind donation today.
