Help Carson & I afford his dental procedure

This is my cat – his name is Carson Sjór. (Yes, he has a last name haha).

For those who know me, you know that Carson has been my best friend for just over 13 years now.

Recently, after a routine dental cleaning, I was told that Carson needs to have every single one of his teeth removed. About a week later, my vet – Limestone City Animal Hospital in Kingston, ON, sent me an email detailing the cost of this procedure: approximately 4,500$ plus tax. Other than his dental problems, Carson is in excellent health and getting his teeth removed is necessary for maintaining his good health.

However, as a Ph.D. candidate at Queen’s, I don’t have any savings at the moment to cover this procedure. Moreover, since I adopted Carson at the age of 15 and didn’t know better at the time, I don’t have pet insurance to help cover the cost of his dental work either. Carson means the world to me and I would do anything to avoid him suffering any discomfort! Therefore, alas, I am asking for help (something that I have never been good at).
