Help Carver Dan Recover & Restart After Fire

Hi, my name is Andrea Adams, and I'm raising funds to help my friend Daniel Rathbun to recover and restart after a devastating fire.

Dan is currently in the hospital in critical condition after a fire in the SoMA area hotel where he lived. He was trapped in his room before being evacuated by the SF Fire department. He made it out with the clothes on his back, and to his knowledge, all of his worldly possessions were damaged or destroyed. At this time, we do not know if his beloved companion Ruben the cat survived the fire.

This man is a retired artist and elder who gets by on very little means. He's just lost his home, his belongings, and possibly his best friend. He is going to need help with medical expenses, finding a new place to live, and replacing everything he owns. If we can find Ruben, the cat will likely need medical attention and possibly temporary fostering as well.
