**This GoFundMe campaign has the approval of those involved**

On the 11th December 2021, 16 year old Casey Skerman was hit by a car whilst he was riding his dirt bike in the bush in Mount Isa. The driver of the vehicle was allegedly alcohol and drug affected and left the scene of the accident shortly after hitting Casey. Police and ambulance attended and after stabilising Casey, transported him to hospital in Mount Isa and then to Townsville by RFDS.

Casey suffered a complete break of his femur and a compound fracture of the lower leg and now complications with surgery’s and due to the severity of the injuries Casey is looking at an even longer road to recovery.

Casey’s family are now looking at even more trips to Townsville, time off work, accomodation and meals away from home as they support Casey to recover both physically and mentally from this horrific incident. Please consider donating to help Casey and his wonderful family who have supported others in need, including myself, without a second thought.

**All donations will be put toward the costs associated with supporting Casey and his family when they are away from home. Any funds left over after Casey is no longer required to travel for surgery will be donated to help other Mount Isa families needing to support their loved ones away from home**
