Help Casino Family Recover After Fire

Dear friends, family, loved ones -

On the morning of January 9th, we learned that our beloved home on Haverford Avenue was sadly destroyed by the devastating fire that ravaged the Pacific Palisades, along with 1,000+ other structures in our beautiful community. We are forever thankful that our parents Lisa and Steve Casino and our cat Max were able to evacuate safely. However, in the frantic and uncertain time, they were only able grab the essentials, leaving their entire livelihood - everything they own both personally and professionally and have collected throughout their lives - behind to be reduced to ash.

Lisa and Steve have lost everything they’ve worked their whole lives for, including both of their business inventories. Lisa’s inventory for her small business, Chroma Makeup Studio in Beverly Hills, along with Steve’s carefully curated collections and entire business of rare art and books, all irreplaceable, along with memorabilia and records, all went up in flames. It’s impossible to fathom that our family home and the lifetime of collections that our parents have amassed are all gone. If you know Lisa and Steve, you know how deeply they were rooted by their collection - thousands of out-of-print books, zines, records, CD’s, clippings of every concert they’ve ever been too, their own childhood memorabilia, etc.

This was not just our childhood home but the heart of the Casino family. Lisa and Steve Casino moved into their beautiful 1940's home on Haverford Ave in 1995, along with a two year-old Cassandra in tow. That same year, Samantha was born. Since then, this home has been everything to us, the only place Samantha and I have ever called home.

We ask humbly for any help to recover our parents lives. We have no idea how long this will take, as not only our home has been destroyed, but our entire community.
