Help Cassidy Pay Epilepsy Medical Costs

Hi, my name is Carolina. I’m fundraising to try to help my sister offset some of her ongoing medical costs. For those of you who don’t already know, my sister Cassidy has been suffering from myoclonic and grand mal epileptic seizures since she was 17 years old. Recently, these seizures have increased in frequency and severity. One month ago, she had a seizure that was so severe it caused her to break two lower vertebrae in her spine. It wasn’t the fall that caused the fracture, it was the intensity of the convulsions she experienced during the seizure. She is currently wearing a back brace and taking seizure medication, but last Monday she woke up on the ground covered in blood after having another seizure. She fell face first onto a hardwood floor, broke her nose, re-broke her back, gave herself a concussion, and has two black eyes as a result of an orbital fracture from the blow to her head. Without proper treatment, the fracture in her spine could potentially cause partial paralysis. 100% of any and all donations will be going towards her medical expenses. Her medical bills are ongoing, and the goal amount is really just a drop in the bucket for her medical expenses, as insurance does not cover everything when it comes to specialists. She has had multiple MRIs, x-rays, and CT scans just in the past month, as well as trips to the ER, Brain and Spine Institute, and other neurologists. She’s currently unable to work, drive, or be alone because of her condition.
