Help Cassie Ortega Recover from a Brutal Assault
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amanda. On the morning of February 1st my sister Cassie was a victim of a brutal domestic violence assault. During the unprovoked attack she was stabbed 25 times. By the grace of God her injuries were not life threatening. Her kids Jacob (7 yr. old) & Ariel (4 yr. old) were both present and witnessed the attack. Jacob was a hero and ran to get help from the neighbors. Cassie was released from the hospital on Friday, February 3 and is currently in a safe space and has been reunited with her children.
Cassie sustained injuries to the back of the head, face , hands, arms, upper torso and he slit her throat. She will need surgery on her thumb to repair a torn tendon and has had a plastic surgeon stitch up her face. Cassie lost so much blood she almost needed a blood transfusion and will be anemic for a month.
Cassie will need extensive medical care, physical therapy, and counseling for both her and the kids to be able to recover from this horrible tragedy.
Additionally she will be moving out of her apartment where the assault took place. She will need to purchase new furniture once she gets her new place as we will need to throw away her furniture that was soiled during the attack.
We are asking for help to cover the cost of medical care and recovery, moving costs, and living expenses while Cassie is out of work and recovering. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
