Help Cat and Andy Gonzalez

Please help to raise money for Cat and Andy Gonzalez.

On Saturday October 20,  2018 they were both injured in a terrible motorcycle accident. The truck that caused the accident, fled the scene leaving them both injured on the ground.


They were both emergently transported to St Mary's medical center.

Andy sustained broken ribs and injuries to his knee, both arms and shoulder. He has skin abrasions everywhere from the road. Both of his arms took the worst of it

Cat sustained a large head laceration, a concussion, 7 broken ribs, 3 fractured vertebrae (2 thoracic and 1 lumbar), and a collapsed lung which required emergency chest tube placement. She also has skin abrasions everywhere from the road. Her ear, shoulders, and left arm took the worst of it. 


She is in ICU and will hopefully be moved to a step down unit tonight or tomorrow. She still has the chest tube in place and struggles to breath through the pain. She will require a brace once the tube is removed to stabilize the fractures in her back. They do not know when she will be sent home but hopeful estimates are within a week. The pain from the rib fractures will take an estimated 6-8 weeks to improve. The back fractures are a wait and see issue. If they dont heal well, surgery may be required.


Both Cat and Andy have lived in Loxahatchee for many years. They are childhood sweethearts and have been married forever. They have 2 children Nina and Frank, ages 18 and 20. The daughter works at our local Dominoes. Cat is a school teacher and Andy works at our local Costco. Andy and Cat are both black belts in Karate and teach children and adults at the Royal Palm Beach recreation center.


They are amazing friends and people and need all the help they can get. Like many of us do, they live paycheck to paycheck. Andy has zero vacation time. Cat only has a few days left. Their health insurance has a 20% cost responsibility that they must pay but do not have. They need help with living expenses and medical bills while they are not able to work.
