Help Cat DiStasio Pay Bills After a Stroke

Two days before Christmas, Cat DiSasio suffered a severe stroke and was hospitalized for 9 days over the holidays. Her doctors is optimistic about her long-term recovery, but it will be a very long road for her with many months of therapy.
As many of you know, Cat is a single mom and sole income earner for her family. Because she is a freelance writer and virtual assistant, she will not be getting any paid days off from an employer or client and will have much less income to pay household living expenses for her and her son. She also has many medical bills and therapy co-pays to now deal with. As she is recovering and going to therapy, she will need to pay for child care for her son as well.
Over the past two years, Cat Disasio has been an important part of our Facebook group and helped countless writers improve their business. Since Cat has given to so many writers, we want to help make her recovery a little easier by helping her with some of the many financial needs that she now has.
Being a freelancer is hard. And we all worry about being in a situation just like Cat is facing with no benefits or disability benefits from employers.
