Help Catalina Receive Life-Changing Brain Therapy
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Sandy, and I am reaching out for help on behalf of my beautiful 6-year-old daughter, Catalina. Catalina is an incredible little girl who faces significant challenges due to her autism. She is non-verbal and has substantial developmental delays that make everyday life a struggle. In addition, Catalina has severe safety challenges. She often elopes—wandering off without any sense of danger, which puts her at constant risk. Her impulsivity and symptoms of ADHD make even the simplest tasks difficult for her.
Despite these challenges, Catalina is the most loving and affectionate child. Anyone who knows her knows she gives the best hugs, and her warmth brightens the lives of those around her. She has such a sweet spirit, and we want nothing more than to help her thrive.
Catalina also struggles with poor balance, low muscle tone, and weak eye muscles. Two years ago, she underwent strabismus surgery to correct her eyes, but her eye muscles are still pulling outward. Catalina is scheduled to have the surgery repeated by mid next year. However, the brain therapy we’re hoping to get for her could strengthen her eye muscles from behind, potentially preventing the need for another surgery. This would be an incredible added benefit to the therapy, along with improvements in her motor skills, communication, and overall neurological function.
The therapy we are hoping to provide for Catalina is from **Brain Balance**, a drug-free program that aims to improve brain health through exercises designed to target the brain's primitive reflexes and promote brain connectivity. Research suggests that this program can help with a variety of conditions, including autism, ADHD, and other developmental challenges. By focusing on strengthening the neurological pathways that influence motor skills, cognitive function, and behavioral regulation, Brain Balance has the potential to change Catalina’s life in ways that traditional therapies have not.
The therapy is intensive and costly—$7,600 for each 3-month session, and she needs a total of four sessions to receive the full benefits. This brings the total cost to $30,400. As parents, we want nothing more than to give Catalina the opportunity to reach her full potential, but we simply cannot afford this treatment on our own. That’s why we are reaching out to our community for support.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help us get one step closer to providing Catalina with the care she desperately needs. This therapy offers hope for a brighter future for Catalina—a future where she can develop more independence, improve her safety awareness, and avoid repeated surgeries. We are deeply grateful for any help you can offer, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing her story.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and for believing in Catalina’s potential.
With love and gratitude,
