Help Catherine Honor Alex's Life

We are overwhelmed and so grateful for the donations and love offered by family, friends, and even strangers. Your help means the world to us.

As you continue to hold Catherine and Alex close in your hearts, please keep in mind the following. If you’re able to kick in some more funds, these are our current goals:

1. To protect Catherine and Alex from the continued abuse of Alex’s biological father.

2. To pay legal fees that ensured Alex’s remains were released to his mother.

Regrettably, due to ongoing abuse by Alex’s biological father, Catherine was forced to hire a specialized attorney to facilitate the release of Alex’s remains. Alex’s father launched a campaign of harassment and abuse of our legal system to block the medical examiner from releasing Alex to Catherine. Even though Catherine and Alex are legally protected by a Domestic Violence Restraining Order granted during Catherine’s pregnancy, he used the opportunity of Alex’s death and the medical examiner office’s lack of legal knowledge to continue his campaign of terror on this family.

It is heartbreaking as Catherine’s family and dearest friends watch her continue this unfair fight during a time of tremendous grief. As hard as this is to do, we know that reaching out to Team Catherine (and Alex!) with our increased needs is the next right step.

My sister Catherine is in the throes of unimaginable grief following the loss of her beloved son Alexander, who was 2 and a half years old.

Alex brought immense joy and light into the lives of those who knew him. His laughter, boundless energy, and fearlessness will be sorely missed and leave gaps in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Most especially his mother who dedicated herself to nurturing and protecting him every day of his too-short life.

We invite you to join us in caring for and supporting Catherine and the rest of Alex’s family through this time of tremendous need. We are raising funds to help provide Alex and his family a funeral and memorial fitting of his joyous energy as well as for keepsakes that will help keep Alex close to his mother, brother, and family forever.
