Help Cathy with a medical treatment in Mexico

Hi! My name is Doreen, and as some of you are aware, my dear friend Cathy has cancer in the liver. The official name is Neuroendocrine cancer metastasis to the liver. Tumours are called carcinoid tumours. It started in the ileum of the small intestine, which at that point was undetected. It is now in stage 4. She was diagnosed on August 1, 2021, and initially had a surgery on August 20, 2021 which revealed the extent of the cancer. She also received Lanreotide injections shortly after. This a Chemo treatment which helps fight the symptoms of cancer. Unfortunately, it is inoperable due to the amount of tumours. Cathy is a LPN, and a fantastic one at that!  She was working at Menno Home until she had to stop working on August 1, 2021.

She will be going for another procedure in February, called mapping, which is prior to a treatment called Y90. Y90 is to help lessen the burden on the liver and hopefully shrink the larger tumours and kill the smaller tumours.

At this point, as most of you would, she is looking into whatever treatments are out there in order to be cancer free.
