Help Catie Carter Study Abroad This Fall

Hello. My name is Catherine Carter (sometimes known as Catie, and sometimes Carter) and I'm headed into my junior year at Ole Miss, where I've already had the opportunity to take advantage of an incredible modern languages program to pursue French through classes, clubs, and other events. However, my efforts toward fluency are limited by the scarcity of French-speaking community in Oxford, Mississippi.

During this upcoming fall semester, I am hoping to study the language at a French university in Besançon (l'Université de Franche-Comté) through an ISEP direct exchange program, but I'm short the funds that I need to cover airfare and homestay fees. Any chance I might have to deepen my understanding of the French language and culture--not to mention, challenge the predispositions of my home country and make potentially life-long connections with individuals from a completely different walk of life--is more valuable to me than I could say.
