Help Cayde Overcome His Medical Challenges
Donation protected
Hey everyone. One of our beloved Orange Beach firemen, Brian Turk, and his wife, Brittany, are having a major family emergency.
On Tuesday, September 17th, his 12-year-old son Cayde started having odd symptoms. Becoming worried, Brian took him to the local fire station, where he started throwing up and having multiple seizures. Ultimately, he had to be picked up by a medivac helicopter and flown to Sacred Heart Hospital, where he was diagnosed with an arteriovenous malformation or a brain bleed.
Currently, Cayde is undergoing brain surgery in order to install a tube to help drain excess fluids so that his intracranial pressure drops so that he might survive. He is in critical condition as of now and it is unknown what will happen.
Cayde is a 12-year-old 7th grader at Orange Beach Middle School. He loves to play baseball, cross country, and video games. He also enjoys playing with his two siblings.
First, and above all, we are asking for our community's prayers that Cayde survives and continues to remain healthy.
Second, we are also raising money to assist in paying medical expenses that accrue, as his hospital stay is projected to be lengthy and expensive. Brian and his family have been dear friends to our fire department and even dearer friends to our small community of Orange Beach. Any and all donations, no matter how small or large, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for your help.
