Help Cece Achieve Her Dream of Higher Education

Hi Everyone!

I’m on my way to college! I did it! This journey has been full of challenges. From Covid-19 to health issues from close family members, I graduated high school with a positive mindset to become a forensic scientist to continue to help others.

I’m excited to start a brand new chapter at Curry College this fall, studying Criminal Justice and Forensic Science. My goal is to support people, communities, by helping them with closure with loved ones.

My mom has always stuck by my side, putting me in St. Mary Academy-Bayview. As a single mother, she has been the sole provider. While affording college is tough, she is trying her best to help me stay on track and continue my education journey. We don’t qualify for enough financial aid, and I need help to cover tuition. Despite these struggles, I’ve kept up my grades, applied for scholarships, and continue to work in child care for my city.

Throughout my high school years, I have been actively involved in track, cheerleading, and the yearbook committee. I excelled academically, earning the highest grade in my 12th-grade English class. I developed a growing passion for forensic science and criminology and dream of making a difference in the world.

My hard work and determination have earned me $22,535 in scholarships, including the Academic Achievement Scholar, Curry Grant, Pell Grant, and Federal SEOG Grant. However, I still need $10,305 to cover the tuition.

This is why I’ve started a College Tuition Fundraiser to support my education. Any donation, big or small, will help me continue my studies and reach my goals.
