Help Cecelia's Dream Come True in Indonesia

Hello, fellow travelers and kind-hearted souls,

I recently had the privilege of experiencing the most enchanting and culturally immersive stay in the beautiful town of Berastagi, Indonesia. My adventure brought me to the doorstep of Cecelia and Smiley, a remarkable couple who run a homestay like no other.

From the moment I arrived, I was embraced by their warm hospitality and genuine kindness. Their homestay was a sanctuary of comfort and a gateway to the vibrant local culture. As I spent time with Cecelia and her family, I discovered a captivating story that touched my heart.

During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cecelia, the creative force behind their operation, discovered her passion for baking. Despite the hardships faced by their family due to the lack of tourists, Cecelia's determination knew no bounds and she transformed her kitchen into a bakery to sell her goods in the local area.

Witnessing her talent and dedication, I was amazed to learn about Cecelia and Smiley's dream to expand their homestay and eventually open a restaurant. They wished to share Cecelia's culinary creations and showcase the vibrant flavors of Sumatra to the world. However, their dream was left unfinished due to a lack of funds.

But it is not just Cecelia's culinary skills that make her extraordinary. Her kindness knows no bounds. During my stay, she took the time to teach me traditional recipes, immersing me in the rich culinary heritage of Berastagi. Additionally, Cecelia has a heart for rescued stray animals. She lovingly cares for them, but her desire to adopt more is hindered by the limited space available.

As a guest, I saw firsthand the potential of their vision. The unfinished extension they started was a testament to their commitment but the construction halted, leaving their dream in limbo. I knew I had to do something to help make their dream a reality.

Together, we can make a difference. Cecelia and Smiley are completely unaware of this request to raise up money, which will allow them to finish their home and bring their dream to life. Any funds raised will be taken directly to them by me at some point next year (video evidence will be submitted on my YouTube account (@DUOSDREAM).
