Help Cecil Wyche Jr. Overcome Leukemia and Support
Donation protected
Meet Cecil Wyche Jr., a devoted father and son, whose life took an unexpected turn in 2019 when he was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia(AML).
Born as the only son among eight sisters, Cecil has always been a pillar of strength for his family. His battle with cancer and its aftermath has tested his resilience like never before.
-The Journey:
In 2019, Cecil's world was rocked by a diagnosis of AML, a challenging journey that led to a stem cell transplant in 2020. However, his fight was far from over; he developed Graft vs. Host Disease, a condition that has left him battling an array of complications and reliant on numerous medications every day to simply function.
-The Challenge:
Cecil's ordeal has kept him out of work since his diagnosis due to pain every day from his condition as well as his vital treatment, severely impacting his ability to provide for his five daughters and assisting his mother after the loss of her husband and Cecil's father in 2022. Despite these hurdles, Cecil has found the strength to grit his teeth and work in 2023, showing incredible determination to support his loved ones despite his daily trauma.
-The Road to Recovery:
Recently, Cecil underwent surgery to insert a port for blood labs, a procedure necessitated by the difficulty in finding his veins. This surgery will sideline him for 2 weeks to a month, but his journey with treatment and medication is ongoing. The financial strain is immense, particularly as his critically important medication, Cresemba (which costs over $500) is not covered by insurance.
-How you can Help.
We are reaching out to your kind hearts and generous spirits to help support Cecil, a very much loved member of his community, in this time of need. Cecil crucially needs assistance with:
- Aid with the cost of Cecil's medical expenses, including his vital medication, Cresemba.
- Aid for living expenses during Cecil's recovery.
- Assistance with Cecil's familial familial and Parental financial responsibilities.
-Our closing words:
Cecil's journey is one of courage, love, and resilience. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in Cecil's quality of life and the lives of those who depend on him. Together, we can help ease this burden and offer Cecil and his family hope and support during this challenging time.
Please feel welcome and encouraged to share this fundraiser on your social network accounts. The more people who can see and connect with Cecil will help him financially, as well as morally and spiritually. Let's show Cecil how much we love him! ANYTHING will HELP!
Much love,
