HELP CELANDINE WOOD ANIMAL RESCUE

We are a new rescue based on the Wirral. We have always rescued behind the scenes but due to the huge demand for rescue spaces for animals that would otherwise face death, we have worked tirelessly to grow and expand to help these animals.

This month alone we have taken in 16 cats/kittens, 7 dogs and have another 4 dogs on the way. And of course our daily wildlife admissions whose numbers grow too quickly for us to keep on track of!

One of our newest arrivals called John Travolta has come from a kennels in ‘code red’ and was due euthanasia as an unclaimed stray, his time was up. He is lovely with all people and dogs, and really melted our hearts. He is very wobbly, and we suspect he could have a spinal issue. He has had a CT scan which is being looked at, and he may need spinal surgery which alone will cost thousands.

Another one is Magic, who arrived to us from a vets practice and his eye had completely ruptured, needing emergency surgery when he arrived to us. He was another unclaimed stray who has been failed by the lack of current laws regarding animal ownership and welfare.

Not to mention the cost of daily feeding, medicating, litter, puppy pads and other materials. It really is never ending.
