Help Celebrate Marshal Rosenberg with a Memorial Concert

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE HAD TO CHANGE THE TIME OF THE TRIBUTE CONCERT TO MARSHAL AT THE CUTTING ROOM. IT WILL BE HELD FROM 12 NOON-3:00PM ON OCTOBER 6th.

As you may know, our dear friend and colleague, Marshal Rosenberg died suddenly on Saturday night, July 20th. He is simply irreplaceable in our lives. Since we can’t bring him back, some of us have gotten together to celebrate his life. We want to give Marshal the best memorial we can conceive. As it was music that so defined him – it was intrinsic to his life and happiness – a group of us, including his life partner, Ruthie, and we, his family, friends, and collaborators, are planning a concert in tribute to his memory. Please join twenty-plus artists who worked with Marshal, as we gather to sing to him, remember him, and say goodbye.

We’ve been able to hold The Cutting Room in New York City for the afternoon of Sunday, October 6th from *** (note revised time ) is 12 Noon - 3:00 pm to do this.

As you can imagine, the costs will be considerable. We need to secure the venue, pay staff and concert techs, and in some cases reimburse artists who are traveling from far away to pay their respects. We started with a working budget estimated at around $7500, but have had to raise our goal. We now are shooting for around $8500 to reflect the costs of the video that is being made and edited, as well as additional equipment costs to support the live music being planned.

If Marshal enriched your life with his soul and his music, this will be a lovely and loving way to acknowledge that and thank him. Your participation will be greatly appreciated by all of us who so sorely miss him.
