Help Celebrate Scott's Life and Passion

Hello to the millions* of Scott Benge lovers - Family, friends, current and former band mates, jam session buddies, and fans who were friends. I am writing this because I have to. I am at a loss for what to say, so I will keep it short and simple.

I know that all of you are eager to help in whatever way possible. Many of you have reached out to me personally to offer condolences and your time and energy. I thank you for that. <3

Scott was a kind, generous, genuine, giving, beautiful, altruistic soul, whose license plate and sign-off exuded just that. We all felt it any time we were in his presence.

This GoFundMe is being designed to gather funds to go towards Scott's final expenses, his HUGE Celebration of Life, and then for his mom, Mary. His dad (Robert "Doc" Woods) is listed as the beneficiary, for technical support reasons. And, I (Sara Waterbury - "Sara Michelle" on fb) will be helping with the facilitation and assisting Mary along the way.

For those who need this information for closure: I was called to do a welfare-check on Sunday afternoon, May 5th - when our lovable, reliable, highly communicative Scott did not show for his gig. I found him in a manner that appeared he passed from this world instantly. He had a smile on his face. He had played a great gig on Saturday afternoon with many fans present just to see him!
