Help Central High Jazz Band Reach NYC Finals

The Memphis Central High School Jazz Band has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious Essentially Ellington International High School Jazz Band Competition. Ranked among the top 30 high school jazz bands in the world, they will compete in the final event held in New York City from May 7-11. As you can imagine, traveling to one of the most expensive cities in the country for five days—covering flights, hotel, and meals—presents a significant financial challenge.

The students of Central High are some of the brightest and most talented young people in Memphis. Their exceptional dedication and hard work have earned them this incredible opportunity. This is an outstanding reflection of both the school and our community. We believe it's vital to showcase the incredible positivity and potential that exists here in Memphis.
