Help Chad and His Kids This Holiday Season
Donation protected
- Hello, my name is Dean Blackburn. My son, Chad Blackburn, had an asthma attack on November 26. He went to the local urgent care clinic for help, but they turned him away due to inactive insurance, and he did not have $100 for treatment. His heart stopped due to lack of oxygen. Luckily, I was standing right there. I started chest compressions right away. The police and EMS showed up within 5 minutes. They worked on my son for 20+ minutes. Then they had to intubate him, and he was sedated for 7 days. He has a very long road of recovery. He's tough. He suffered brain damage; we do not know how much. It was his fine motor skills that were damaged. We need your help for a handicap ramp among a great deal of other things to contend with, like rehab for at least 30 days. He also has 5 children to care for, with the holidays here and Christmas for the children. Anything you can help with will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, and I hope you have great holidays.
