Help Chad Parker and Family
As many of you know, Chad Parker was diagnosed with a large infiltrating brain tumor in the right portion of his frontal lobe early May 2021. After many tests and procedures, including a craniotomy to biopsy it, his doctors decided the best route to go was removing as much of the tumor as possible. The surgery was completed on the 28th of July, and due to the fact that they were not attempting to remove the entire tumor, there were little to no side effects projected at that time. However, as we all know, life rarely goes as we plan. Unfortunately there were a significant amount of complications. Chad currently has no motor function of the left side of his body and is experiencing cognitive deficits as well. He was transferred to Encompass Neuro Rehab in Rock Hill on August 5th where he will be receiving the help from a team of rehabilitation specialists and hopefully he will be able to regain as much function as possible during his time there. After he leaves the rehab center there is still a long road of treatment ahead of him. His daughter, Madison, is having to drive back and forth between Wilmington and Rock Hill multiple times a week and the Parker family could use all of the support and love that we have to give. The family needs to be able to focus on Chad's healing and not the bills that are stacking up. Madison and the Parker family send their love and thanks.
