Help Chanel Overcome Adenomyosis
Donation protected
For the past ten years Chanel has been battling a chronic and debilitating condition. Since her late teens she has been put through a gruelling cycle of pain and disappointment, and a constant battery of medical tests and misdiagnoses. This has had a devastating impact on Chanel’s life. From suffering excruciating and debilitating daily pain, Chanel has dealt with a loss of employment opportunities, mental health struggles, and the ability to enjoy her life to the fullest. Perhaps the most heart-breaking effect of this condition is the fact that fertility and conception are drastically affected, and the chance of having children and starting a family is greatly reduced.
After years of misdiagnosis, constant doctor and hospital visits, and a feeling of being dismissed, Chanel has been fortunate enough to have recently visited a highly respected Gynaecologist. He has diagnosed Chanel with adenomyosis and endometriosis, two very serious conditions that have a terrible impact on her life. 'Adenomyosis is similar to Endometriosis. It occurs when the endometrium grows into the uterus' muscle, causing pain and possibly infertility.' The full extent of the damage, and the treatment plan will not be fully known until Chanel undergoes explorative surgery in February. The Gynaecologist is confident that with the proper surgeries, medications, and a complex treatment plan Chanel will overcome this oppressive condition and begin to fully enjoy her life again.
Unfortunately this treatment is not available through the public system, and with the staggering costs involved we realised that we may need to branch out and ask others for support. Chanel has been unable to work for the majority of last year due to this condition, and financial stresses have been added to her already heavy burden.
If you choose to donate and help Chanel, your support will be immensely important. It will go towards: the cost of the surgery, the anaesthetist, hospital stay costs, medication, medical equipment, treatments, flights, and travel expenses. You will also be helping a young woman reclaim her life, and have a chance to start her own family to continue with the life journey that she deserves.
