On Friday, February 10th an adult rec league hockey team (The Spartans) will face off against an actual college hockey program (Macalester college Scots) to raise money for the Hendrickson Foundation.
That's right. It's a battle of the generations.
Young vs. Old.
Friday, Feb 10th 9pm @ Highland Arena
Highlights include
- National anthem to be sung by someone with a great voice.
- Celebrity puck drop by Stanley Cup Champion and MN hockey icon Ryan Carter.
- Free prizes throughout the game.
- The Macalester College women's club team will host a skills competition in between periods.
100% of the proceeds go to the Hendrickson Foundation: While the game is free to attend, we kindly ask for donations which will go directly to the Hendrickson foundation to help provide new equipment and gear to its players.
About the Hendrickson Foundation: Founded in 2011 by Minnesota hockey legend Larry Hendrickson, The Hendrickson Foundation, in partnership with USA Hockey and MN Hockey, has a mission to grow the game of hockey by making it accessible to ALL people, despite any challenges they may be living with and creating a stronger and more inclusive State of Hockey. They provide hockey programs for Blind Hockey, Special Hockey, Sled Hockey and veterans hockey.

Why are you doing this tournament? The purpose of this charity event is to have fun, raise awareness and celebrate the game that brings everyone together (including generations.) The "Hands of Time cup" represents the fact that anyone can play the game. Whether you are young or old, able or disabled, HOCKEY CHANGES LIVES.
Everyone deserves to feel like they're part of a team, and with your donation, we can make that a reality.
Can I attend the actual game? Yes! The Hands of Time Cup will take place on Friday, February 10th at 9pm @ Highland-Shulz arena in St. Paul. The game is FREE to attend and will be an awesome atmosphere.
Where will my money go?: Your money will go directly towards helping fund new gear and equipment for players in the Blind, Special, Sled and Veterans hockey programs. Whether it's new pads, new sleds, or new team gear, the items will provide players with the chance to compete as part of a team.
Why is "COOL STORY" listed as the recipient?: The Hendrickson Foundation is no longer set up in GoFundMe's direct-deposit system. After speaking with Danny and Kristin Hendrickson, we decided the best route would be for COOL STORY (the event host) to act as the intermediary.
