Help Charlie Beat Pancreatic Cancer

Our story started on April 30, 2022. My husband Charlie was having some back and side pain that was not the norm for him, so we decided to visit the emergency room and have them run some tests. After a few hours and tests, the doctor returned to give us news that we were not expecting: Charlie had stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer and tumors on his liver.

 

How do you process that? Well, we went home, tried to process and gather our thoughts, and the next day I got on the phone with the best cancer doctors I could find. We received two opinions and picked his doctor. So, the journey begins: a biopsy, a port being put in, and starting chemotherapy on 5/24/22.

 

My husband Charlie is gentle, kind, smart, generous, and the most loving (not to mention handsome) person you could ever meet. No matter what, if you need something, he will stop what he’s doing to help. He’s been a truck driver for 40+ years and worked throughout Covid-19. We have been married for 17 wonderful years. When not working or spending time at home, he spends time with his children and grandchildren.

 

We are putting this GoFundMe Page together because it will be a very long and expensive journey with our bills for his cancer treatments. Charlie is a fighter, and we plan to face this with everything we’ve got.
