Help Charlie fight for his parenting rights!!

Hey everyone! I'm Sarah, and I'm here to fundraise so that my husband Charlie can get a lawyer to fight for his right to visitation and adequate parenting time.

The mother of his two children, Alice and Charles, has alienated him completely from their lives since late 2018. She has only allowed him to see them three times, with her present, for less than 2 hours in that time frame. Prior to that she regularly violated their standard contact order for her personal plans or grievances, at times for 6 months or more. She has intentionally kept Charlie out of their educational plans, their medical appointments, their mental health needs, and every other aspect that he should rightfully be involved in. During this time, Alice was abused at the hands of her stepfather. Charlie was excluded from all proceedings surrounding that abuse, and its aftermath as well. He wasn't even notified for several months after the abuse was discovered.

Charlie WANTS to be present. He has been fighting for the right to just be an active, equal parent since their separation when his youngest was a toddler. He's a wonderful father. Their mother wants him to jump through hoops for her, to still not even allow him visitation. And we have in the past. He has done everything in his power to get her to agree to visitation. Jumped through every hoop she asked for and it was never enough to appease her. We have been through the courts for multiple filings over different issues in the last 10 years, all of which resulted in very little change. He just wants to see his kids. To be involved in their lives, as is his right. To be a family.

Charlie needs a lawyer on board that will fight with him for his parental rights. We have filed a rule to show cause, and will need to be in court again in mid-February. It has been 5 years since he's been allowed any meaningful interaction with his kids. Its been torture on him. They miss him, too. They want to see him. It's damaging to everyone involved for them to be denied a relationship with their father. Alice and Charles will have a new sibling this summer that they'll never be allowed to meet if we can't get him some legal help. But we can't do it alone.
