Help Charlie Get Urgent Veterinary Care
Donation protected
Please help me, a disabled elementary public school teacher, pay the veterinary bill for my cat Charlie.
Charlie is only 10 and has to have emergency treatment for a urinary tract blockage. This treatment is $8,000, and his special food will be triple the cost of his current food.
When I became disabled 3 years ago, it was thought to be temporary. After 11 specialists and 2 years, I finally got a diagnosis and will not be able to return to work. My savings are almost completely depleted. I am now starting the process of getting my social security (at 68.5 years) and retiring from teaching. The combined amounts will just cover my living expenses in the San Francisco Bay/Silicon Valley area (Redwood City). I thought I had a safety net for things like veterinary bills but have had to spend this to live on while getting a medical diagnosis and treatment.
Charlie is a wonderful cat and deserves the best treatment available. Sadly, I cannot afford the optimum under my current circumstances. I never thought I'd have to depend on the kindness and generosity of strangers to pay my bills. Yet here I am, pleading for your help!
