Help Charlie keep his home
Donation protected
Dear friends and community members,
We are here to raise funds for our friend Charlie, a hardworking Jewish man who is facing eviction from his home. Charlie has dedicated over a decade of his life working for the city of Mount Vernon, and he currently holds two jobs to make ends meet. Despite his hard work and determination, Charlie is facing a financial crisis that threatens to uproot him from his home and disrupt his life.
Charlie lives in section 8 housing, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, he received emergency rental assistance from the government. However, the program recently demanded the money back from his landlord, stating that they want to help people who are not in section-8 housing first. This has left Charlie with an $8,000 shortfall that he cannot cover, putting him at risk of eviction.
Charlie has faced persecution throughout his life for being a black Jewish man. He converted to Judaism at the age of 12 and has remained dedicated to his faith and community ever since. As his community, we have a responsibility to support Charlie during this difficult time.
That is why we are calling on everyone to rally behind Charlie and help him out. Our goal is to raise $8,000 to cover Charlie's outstanding rental fees and provide him with some much-needed financial stability. Every donation counts, no matter how small, and your generosity will make a world of difference to Charlie.
Please donate what you can and spread the word about this fundraiser. Let's come together and support Charlie during this challenging time. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
