Help Charlie's Recovery from Surgery
Donation protected
If you were around last August and "WATCH THE PEARLS" doesn't mean anything to you, you weren't really there.
I can't count the amount of times we had to shoo Charlie away from Michelle and Nick's wedding floral arrangements prior to their celebration. I recall the Maid of Honor telling Charlie she'd make him into bulgogi if he went near the arrangements..oh yeah, it was that serious. We were all fortunate enough to take home their center pieces which consisted of real and fake succulents. If you're like me, you can't keep plants alive and err, no longer have the arrangements. Michelle has a green thumb and sneaky Charlie tiptoed around Nick and consumed a fake, stringed succulent pearl. This tried to pass through his small bowel while simultaneously getting stuck in his stomach. Charlie's vet deemed it was necessary to have surgery or we'd lose him. If you've had/have pets you know their treatment can become expensive quickly, especially in an emergency situation. Per the last update, he appears to be doing well and is expected to be able to come home tomorrow. As you can imagine this is quite an unforeseen expense, but I know his family made the right choice.
Michelle and Nick, I only want to lift a little bit of the burden off of you! Thank you for your time.
