Donation protected
Hello my name is Antonio Vera I am son to Charlina & Jackie Johnson Farias. My parents lost their home in Altadena, California on January 8th, 2025 due to the Eaton Fire. They completely lost everything. We are asking for any kind and any amount of generous donations so they can temporarily get back on their feet mean while they wait on the outcome of this natural disaster. We appreciate with much love to everyone who donates to my parents in this desperate time of need.
On Behalf of Charlina Johnson & Jackie Johnson Farias,
Ive been living in Altadena, California since 1965 at the age of 7, with my mother and father. My father passed away in 1988. Then I was left to care for my mother who passed away in 2010. My mother then passed the house to me as the only child. Me and my wife Jackie have been together for over 22 years. Jackie whelped frenchies for over 6 years. We lost a total of 5 pets, many barbie collectable items, and sanrio business merchandise as well.
At Age 7 , I started in electronics repairing tv’s and radio in 1965. I used to scout around looking for consumer electronics on my bicycle looking for any piece of electronics I could repair and sale. I went to Junior College and graduated. Also went to a university and graduated and received a degree in electronic engineering. I started to collect broadcast equipment in the early 80s from then to present time. I had several pieces of vintage equipment. I started repairing VHS machines in the early 80’s at a large duplication company. There so, I got interested in quadruplex machined and one day my boss asked me do you wanna learn how to fix them and I said yes. Later on that day, he came to the maintenance shop while I was working on VHS machines and gave me seven thick manuals. He told me you have one week to learn them and you will start on quiet machines the next week. Ever since then I was an engineer working on court machines. Also, I collected them during the years. Later down the line I got interested in Image or on cameras, but that seemed like that was another trigger that I was interested in so I collected a TK 11/31 later on the TK 41. During the 2000s I got to transmit to work and then got fascinated with RF. I got the RF bug and I started to repair up blank sound like transmitters onto this day I repair high power UHF transmitters. I have a long history of all electronics and now I’m 67 and was hoping to retire to play around with my quad machines, but now that’s the end of the past and now I have to start a new life after my home of 60 years in Altadena, California was taken from me from this Natural Disaster we call the EATON FIRE.
