Help Chartreuse Sisters get back on our feet!

On January 14th, 2023, after years of pop-ups, goodie box deliveries, and renovating our future storefront (which took almost two years), we finally opened Chartreuse Sisters...and then about three months later on April 9th, Alyson, our co-owner and head of beverage, broke two bones in her leg.

The break was so severe that she required surgery, couldn't work in the shop for 10 weeks, and is having to work with a scooter for now while still recovering.

Since we are such a small team, we had to unfortunately shut down our beverage program until she could be back in the shop, and we didn't realize at the time how much of a strain that would put on the business financially.

To make matters even more difficult, we are unexpectedly down to just Mallory (the other sister, co-owner and Pastry Chef) in the kitchen until we are able to hire an Assistant Pastry Chef. This means that, for now, we will be limited on how many pastries we can produce weekly.

The starting fundraising goal is what we estimate we lost during this unfortunate and unexpected time and will help us to 1) pay off legal fees and construction costs, 2) have the funds to purchase necessary inventory, products, and other needs to be able to add our planned Non-Alcoholic cocktail lounge, and 3) give us the financial security to be able to develop things like catering, space rental, and baking/cocktail classes we have been planning to offer since the beginning.
