Help Sal (50yr Casa employee) & his wife Alicia

We are organizing this fundraiser for a long-time employee of our restaurant, Casa Del Rey Sierra Madre. Sal, also known as Chava by his family and friends, has worked for our restaurant for almost 50 years and they tragically lost their home and all of their memories and belongings in the Eaton Fire. We asked them if we could post this on their behalf, and if you know this family, you know that they were hesitant to accept the help.

Sal and Alicia Huizar purchased their dream home in Altadena in 2008, and 17 years later, they lost everything to the Eaton Fire. They have been ripped of their home, sanctuary, and peace. Two people that came from absolutely nothing to this country and built a beautiful home and a beautiful life for their two daughters.

If you know Chava and Alicia, you know they spend the majority of their time serving others. It was with hesitation they agreed to let us create this GoFundMe.

We are hoping to help them get started picking up the pieces of the life that they had worked so incredibly hard to build. They have some basic immediate needs as well as for the future.
