help Chef Eric find a new home

This is really hard for me to do, but several folks reached out to me privately and requested I create this page. The house I was living in near Big Basin in Boulder Creek, CA was completely destroyed in the recent fires leaving me with next to nothing to my name. I reluctantly agreed to reach out to my friends & family for help.
I love living in the Santa Cruz Mountains and would really like to stay here and continue to support my community. The non-profit food assistance program we started last year, "Operation Feed the People," was really hitting its stride when this tragedy hit. Now more than ever, our efforts are essential in helping our community rebuild. We have already returned to Boulder Creek and have been successfully handing out meals, groceries, and supplies for over a month! This is especially rewarding having just worked with my personal heros the World Central Kitchen preparing 1500 meals a day for firefighters & evacuees!
My original plan was to try to get an RV, but that doesn't seem feasible at this point. I am currently raising money so that when the time comes that I find a permanent residence, I will be financially able to do so. For now, I am biding my time in temporary housing but happy to have a roof over my head, clean water, & food to eat. Eventually a place will open up & all the contributions made to this cause will be used to help replace items essentially for living.
I am humbled by this whole experience, but I also know that I was put here to give strength to others who have lost so much more than I.
LOVE to all who have taken the time to read this and are willing to contribute to the stability of my future. This community has embraced me in ways that I have never felt before and with your help I can continue to help supporting those in need.
Thank you ALL
