Help Chef Pa get back to Thailand

Hello everyone,

If you’ve eaten at Chimm or Chimm Street before then you’ve most likely have eaten a dish that Chef Pa has made. From the Isan (Northeastern) region of Thailand, Chef Pa has been working with us for the last 4 years at both locations. Most recently she has run into some health issues that has set her back enough to stop working. She is in great spirits and has been taking the last few weeks to rest and get medical help here in Charlottesville. She would like to return back to her homeland in Thailand to be with her daughter who can look after her more frequently and will also provide full health care for her. She is hoping to leave at the end of the month and needs some financial assistance for the flight. She is a modest person who loves music, people, and Isan food and we want to do everything we can to support her move back home to her immediate family. We have been doing everything we can with providing food and a lodging but with the community’s help we know she could be at ease knowing she will get back to Thailand comfortably. If you are able to contribute any amount, we would be so grateful and we would be willing to provide some tasty snacks in return as a token of our gratitude.
