Help Chelsea Receive Critical Treatment At Mayo Clinic

My name is Chelsea Motta & I am trying to raise money to be seen at the MAYO clinic in MN to help diagnose & treat various debilitating health problems that I have been suffering from for several years(everything having gotten much more severe & scary since March 2024).

I have blood tests that show autoimmune activity & after starting temporary treatment with corticosteroids, it was revealed that my recurrent psychosis was a result of inflammation in my brain, which has been tentatively managed with steroids. An abnormal brain MRI & later a positive result from a spinal tap started to map out the possibility of an unusual presentation of Multiple sclerosis.

[MS is an illness that strips the myelin sheath from the nerves in the brain, leaving them raw & unable to send signals correctly. ]

The second week in August, I was doing my usual nighttime routine of stretching & I separated my hip & tore a ligament as well. The orthopedic Dr said it was mild enough not to require surgery but it was still a crushing blow to my already extremely limited lifestyle. With this new injury, my medical team is theorizing I have a combination of MS + a connective tissue disease such as EDS/VEDS, which may explain me being prone to such injuries.

The last week of August, due to breakthrough pain & hallucinations, i received a 5 day course of high dose steroid infusions, which seemed to get things back to manageable levels.

I was referred to YET ANOTHER specialist in Little Rock for a 3rd opinion & they recently informed me that they are also unable to take my case.

What I would like is to follow the advice of the 2 Dr's I have seen & travel to be seen at the MAYO clinic in MN. I have heard wonderful things about the clinic & as my condition seems to be getting worse, I want answers as soon as I can get them & hopefully treatment that will get me back to living a somewhat normal life.

The MAYO clinic doesn't take my insurance but they said they would see me with an upfront payment of $5,000. I would also need help with travel expenses & lodging, & some food although I would obviously pack a cooler to cut down on excess spending.
